Why Southern June Clever? Part Two

Why Southern? Well, I'm from the south. The deep south. Alabama. I've been following some blogs written by "southern women" and most of them seem to be from Texas. Now I certainly do consider Texas as being south,but it's southwest and it's different. Being a"southern"woman is a personality, an attitude. Southern women are strong, yet feminine; sassy, yet demure. We are very courteous and hospitible, even to our enemies. We love God, our Country and our families. We will defend all of them like a tiger protecting her cubs. We love deeply and treat all with respect and we demand the same from others. We have deep traditions (most involve food) and we love our traditions. College football is a religion. Sundays are for church, big meals, and family. All iced tea is sweet. And butter is a staple. Life moves slower here. People smile and wave as they pass you on the street. I hope, through this blog, to bring a little "southern" to all who read it.
