Sponge Bob Square Pants Cake
I don't believe there is a character out there that is more loved than Sponge Bob Square Pants. It's not just small children...older children and adults love him too! Here are two of the Sponge Bob Square Pants cakes That we have created so far... one with the infamous pineapple and one with a very large "crabby patty". All decorations are made with a fondant / gum paste mix.

Wow Wow Wubbsy Cake
I'm not sure how popular this character is any longer. I know I've only been asked one time to make a Wow Wow Wubbsy cake, but I'll post it for reference anyway. This cake had many "firsts" for me in the cake design... First time I used a circular cake pan....first time I molded a character freehand out of fondant...and first time I had to figure out how to get a large object to stand upright on top of the cake. Large characters made out of fondant can be extremely heavy. One thing I love about doing unusual cakes is getting me out of my comfort zone and having to stretch my creative skills.

Hello Kitty Cake
From little girls to college young women, females love Hello Kitty. This cake was made for a little girl's birthday party. The decorations were taken from the party decorations...that's where the stripes came from. The Hello Kitty on top of the cake is made out of fondant and gum paste.

Strawberry Shortcake Cake
When it comes to certain children's birthday themes, I find that sometimes it's easier and more practical to find a toy of the theme and use it as the cake topper. I decided to do this with the Strawberry Shortcake cake because 1. I was short on time and 2. I didn't know much about Strawberry Shortcake.
The cake is strawberry cake with buttercream icing. The other decorations are buttercream and fondant.

Minnie Mouse Cakes
Little girls still love Minnie Mouse. It's one of the most popular cakes for little girls birthdays that we do. Everyone instinctively knows the theme of the party when they see the iconic mouse ears on the birthday cake. Here are just a few versions that we have created....

Wizard of Oz Cake
This cake took four long days to complete. The biggest challenge was trying to tell the wonderful Wizard of Oz story on a layer cake. Another challenge was making the main characters because finding Wizard of Oz characters is impossible unless you want to invest major money.

Dorthy's house was made from modeling chocolate. The other detail,( i.e. yellow brick road, witch's legs, basket, ToTo, and the melted witch ) were all made from fondant.

Thomas the Train Cake
Little boys love Thomas the Train, so this is a must cake to have in the cake portfolio. I used a actual Thomas the Train toy for the cake topper. Kids love to have something to keep from their birthday cake and it's almost like receiving an extra birthday present.
The grass and clouds are made from buttercream icing.
Most of the other decorations are made from marshmallow fondant.. including the train tracks, trees, and barnyard animals.
